After nearly 10 years of knowing this is something that I wanted to do, I am so incredibly lucky to be sitting here just 3 weeks out from my start date. February 28th is coming quickly and I am so insanely excited for the adventure that awaits me. I am ready to be on my own; to be fully reliant on myself for everything. I am blessed to have this opportunity and I am beyond excited to see how it changes me and shapes my future.
For the past year and a half, ever since I found out I would graduate early, I have been anxious for this trip to start. I knew the moment I saw a 6 month gap on my calendar that there was no way you’d find me anywhere but the Appalachian Trail. This journey has been in the works for more than 6 years but it is about to start and honestly I had doubts that I’d ever get here. If you are reading this, you have helped me get to where I am today, so thank you!
I’m excited to be doing this blog so that everyone who wants to share in this journey with me in any way is able to do so. I will make no promises about posting every day or about everything. I will be using this platform to share both my joys and my struggles while I walk. I am beyond blessed to have so many different groups of people from so many different walks of life supporting me. I’m very ready for this journey to start and I’m stoked to have you along for the ride.
